Pro:I recently did two installs, one powering the speakers from aftermarket head unit an additional one straight through an amp. The speakers are loud and full just off the of the head unit alone but the amp of course brings them to life even when using them just as subs. These speakers Will clip (audio distortion) if play loudly and Not driven by an amp. Overall, great buy and perfect pricing.

Con: Due to the form of the holes to mount the speakers you will most likely run into some issues fitting them. Most people likely just secured them using either the top or bottom two holes rather than all four sides (when vibrating this will cause a metal rattling sound you of course dont want to hear even with the high density foam spacers that come with the speakers). It took some modification on both installs (2006 toyota corolla / 1998 honda accord) to get them to fit just right which added about an extra hour or so to the install. Dont just throw away the premise speakers from your car, you may need to reuse the plastic/metal mounts and then use a roto tool to carve out the old speakers and use self tapping screws or rivets to acquire these new speakers into the old mounts which can then of course fasten in using the premise mounts with your new speakers fixed inside.
